SUMMARY:Play 500+ Board Games
DESCRIPTION:Our library has over 500 board games\, both classic and modern.\n–Want to keep it simple with something like Monopoly or Jenga? We’ve got you covered. What something more modern like Catan or Ticket to ride? We’ve got those too. Want something brand spankin’ new you can’t even buy in the stores yet? WE’VE GOT THOSE TOO.\n–\nGame passes are $5/person for 2 hours and are first come first served for tables. We have lots of tools to help you choose a game (see our game picker linked below\,) learn a game without actually reading the rules (most games are stickered with a QR code that takes you to a how to play video….for those of you that hate reading rulebooks) or you can even bring in your own game/DND group/etc. Same game pass pricing applies.\n–PLUS we have snacks\, drinks\, alcohol\, cats (in their separate lounge but viewable from the cafe side through large windows) and all the good vibes.\n20% of the profits from our food\, drink and merch sales go back to our partner rescues. Hang out. Buy stuff. Help cats.\n–\nCheck out our full game list here:https://scratchingpostcu.com/game-table-reservations/\n–\nSee what our Game Picker suggests for you here: https://gamepicker.scratchingpostcu.com/

SUMMARY:Pollinator Week Event!
DESCRIPTION:Stop in to celebrate pollinator week! \nPollinators are Important to Us All\nPollinators are animals like bees\, butterflies\, beetles\, birds and bats that move pollen from male to female parts of flowers. \nFlowering plants and their pollinators are responsible for more than 25% of the food we eat\, along with some medicines\, dyes and fibers. \nPollinated plants also provide food\, nesting and shelter for wildlife. \nPollinators are in Danger\nWithout pollinators\, natural ecosystems and agriculture would collapse. \nRight now pollinators are dangerously declining in numbers due to many reasons.  One of which is loss of the native areas or plants that they need to survive. \nYou Can Help!\nWhile supplies last\, we’ll be giving away catmint seeds\, because pollinators enjoy catmint and catnip!  Plant them to attract pollinators to your garden and to help support pollinator communities! \nBring Your Questions\nWe’ll have a volunteer from the University of Illinois here to answer your pollinator questions\, chat with you about bees\, gardening questions\, and more! \nPlay Pollinator Related Games\nWe just so happen to have several board games involving pollinators.  Stop in and play them all! \nGame passes are $5/person and can be paid when you arrive.  Email info@scratchingpostcafe.com if you’d like to reserve a table! \n\nHoney Buzz\nHoney Buzz Fall Flavors\nBeez\nHive\nApplejack\nWingspan w/Americas expansion\nCATNIP Auction House\nHabitats\nEvolution\nEvolution: Climate
