DESCRIPTION:Walk through our cafe and enjoy a collection of local art by Shauri E Gonzalez. \nNo admission fee to view the art on the cafe side.  If you’d like to visit the cats in our lounge\, you can make a reservation here. \nPieces will be available for sale.  10% of each art sale is donated to our parent non-profit rescue. \nAs always\, we donate 20% of the profits from our food\, drink and merch sales back to our partner rescues.  Enjoy art\, grab a drink\, help cats. \nShauri E Gonzalez\nArtist Bio/Description:\nCats appear in my work as quiet muses of autonomy\, softness\, and subtle rebellion. I create cat art to capture the feeling of living alongside them; the softness\, the mischief\, the comfort. Through my art\, I hope viewers see their own companions reflected back at them and feel that familiar love we share for the cats who choose us. Or perhaps fall in love with cats themselves\, as my depictions place cats in tender\, aesthetic home spaces to highlight their charm and individuality.\n\nAnother reason I draw cats is to allow me to explore feminism in a way I have not seen explored before\, gentle and sweet. The exploration of one’s interests and reclaiming softness. Similarly\, returning to pink often symbolizes healing and making peace with parts of oneself that were previously suppressed. I use cats as my art theme to feel intimate and cozy. Cats are both rooted in softness and self-possession and the quiet strength of simply being. Cats do not perform for approval. They rest when they want to rest. They ask for affection on their own terms. They observe before they act. There is something profoundly feminist in that. \nIn my drawings\, cats are soft but sovereign. They represent rest without guilt\, affection without submission\, beauty without apology. I create cat art to capture the feeling of living alongside them; the softness\, the mischief\, the comfort. Through my art\, I hope viewers see their own companions reflected back at them and feel that familiar love we share for the cats who choose us. Or perhaps fall in love with cats themselves\, as my depictions place cats in tender\, aesthetic home spaces to highlight their charm and individuality.\n\nAnother reason I draw cats is to allow me to explore feminism in a way I have not seen explored before\, gentle and sweet. The exploration of one’s interests and reclaiming softness. Similarly\, returning to pink often symbolizes healing and making peace with parts of oneself that were previously suppressed. I use cats as my art theme to feel intimate and cozy. Cats are both rooted in softness and self-possession and the quiet strength of simply being. Cats do not perform for approval. They rest when they want to rest. They ask for affection on their own terms. They observe before they act. There is something profoundly feminist in that. \nIn my drawings\, cats are soft but sovereign. They represent rest without guilt\, affection without submission\, beauty without apology. DESCRIPTION:Our library has over 500 board games\, both classic and modern.\n–Want to keep it simple with something like Monopoly or Jenga? We’ve got you covered. What something more modern like Catan or Ticket to ride? We’ve got those too. Want something brand spankin’ new you can’t even buy in the stores yet? WE’VE GOT THOSE TOO.\n–\nGame passes are $5/person for 2 hours and are first come first served for tables. We have lots of tools to help you choose a game (see our game picker linked below\,) learn a game without actually reading the rules (most games are stickered with a QR code that takes you to a how to play video….for those of you that hate reading rulebooks) or you can even bring in your own game/DND group/etc. Same game pass pricing applies.\n–PLUS we have snacks\, drinks\, alcohol\, cats (in their separate lounge but viewable from the cafe side through large windows) and all the good vibes.\n20% of the profits from our food\, drink and merch sales go back to our partner rescues. DESCRIPTION:Walk through our cafe and enjoy a collection of local art by Shauri E Gonzalez. \nNo admission fee to view the art on the cafe side.  If you’d like to visit the cats in our lounge\, you can make a reservation here. \nPieces will be available for sale.  10% of each art sale is donated to our parent non-profit rescue. \nAs always\, we donate 20% of the profits from our food\, drink and merch sales back to our partner rescues.  Enjoy art\, grab a drink\, help cats. \nShauri E Gonzalez\nArtist Bio/Description:\nCats appear in my work as quiet muses of autonomy\, softness\, and subtle rebellion. I create cat art to capture the feeling of living alongside them; the softness\, the mischief\, the comfort. Through my art\, I hope viewers see their own companions reflected back at them and feel that familiar love we share for the cats who choose us. Or perhaps fall in love with cats themselves\, as my depictions place cats in tender\, aesthetic home spaces to highlight their charm and individuality.\n\nAnother reason I draw cats is to allow me to explore feminism in a way I have not seen explored before\, gentle and sweet. The exploration of one’s interests and reclaiming softness. Similarly\, returning to pink often symbolizes healing and making peace with parts of oneself that were previously suppressed. I use cats as my art theme to feel intimate and cozy. Cats are both rooted in softness and self-possession and the quiet strength of simply being. Cats do not perform for approval. They rest when they want to rest. They ask for affection on their own terms. They observe before they act.
